Paramedics say a six-year-old boy is dead after a piece of steel fell on him in Hamilton.
The incident occurred in one of the city's industrial areas.
Paramedics say the boy was without vital signs when emergency crews arrived at the scene (on Imperial Street, in the Sherman Avenue North and Burlington Street East area) Sunday afternoon.
The boy suffered severe head trauma and a broken leg.
He was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
