Officials with the City of Saint John say enough snow has been cleared in an area that a state of emergency can be lifted.

The city says a parking ban in the southern peninsula has ended, following days of snow removal.

Crews continue to clear snow in the Waterloo Village area.

They are placing no parking signs on certain streets as snow removal operations progress.

The city says crews have removed more than 75,000 truckloads of snow since Tuesday.

Saint John had been under a local state of emergency since 30 centimetres of snow fell on top of the almost 100 centimetres already on the ground.
