Three people were killed and two others sent to hospital after an overnight house fire in Alexandria, Ont.

Provincial police say the fire began around 2:30 a.m. at a home on Boundary Road in the community about 30 kilometres northeast of Cornwall.

Investigators say a woman and two children died in the blaze.

A man and another child were taken to hospital suffering from serious injuries.

No names have been released.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
