Police say a body believed to be that of a missing 72-year-old woman who had been visiting Toronto from Uruguay has been found in a ravine.

Edith (Edit) Gus Peltinovich was reported missing on Monday after heading out for an afternoon walk to a north-west-end park.

Searchers found the body Wednesday afternoon on a river bank near a reservoir in the park.
