Two people were sent to hospital with minor injuries Sunday morning after a Toronto Transit Commission bus collided with a building, Toronto EMS confirmed.

The bus crashed into the side of Little Nicky's Coffee on Peter Street, near Queen Street Avenue West. The shop is closed on Sundays.

Peter Street is closed between Richmond Street West and Queen Street West as police investigate.

Staff Sgt. David Stirling said police first received a call at 10:18 a.m.

Staff Sgt. Stirling said a taxi was also involved in the collision.

Traffic services said the TTC bus was travelling northbound on Peter Street when it struck a car and then a taxi before colliding with the building.

The car, a rental vehicle, belonged to a German couple who were on their way to the U.S. Neither were injured.
