A day after a man was arrested in connection with a string of sexual assaults at York University, two more women have come forward claiming they too were attacked.

All the victims were allegedly assaulted on July 5 and 6 in and around the campus by a man who first attempted to strike up a conversation and then sexually assaulted, Toronto Police say.

Police have charged a 20-year-old Oshane Leach with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of criminal harassment and two counts of assault on Monday night.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Students say the university acted slowly in notifying students about three sexual assaults on campus last week. E-mail and social media alerts warning them of the sexual assaults were sent four days after the initial attack.

"They should have done it sooner," Vanessa Hunt, president of York Federation of Students said. "It's just appalling that these sexual assaults happened in broad daylight on campus."

Joanne Rider, the director for media relations, said the university had posted security bulletins around the campus and on the website.

"We have been proactive," she said. "We made the decision to leverage the social media later. We could have done that on Friday, but we waited since we have more students back on campus on Monday."
