In pictures: Israeli officials mark anniversary by demolishing illegal Jewish settlement in occupied territories
Seven structures were taken down Wednesday May 14, as part of a continuing effort to remove settlements established without government authorization. The State of Israel declared independence 66 years ago today, May 14, 1948.
