LISTING AGENT Marni Lokash, Harvey Kalles Real Estate Ltd.

The Action: A few years ago, the sale of this two-bedroom corner unit at the Antiquary did not go unnoticed by a realtor, who recently approached the listing agent, Marni Lokash, to make a $1.6-million, off-market deal with their client.

What They Got: This over 2,000-square-foot unit is roughly 14 years old, but new materials grace the interiors thanks to a massive makeover recently completed by Toronto firm, Tara Fingold Interiors.

  • Luxuries range from a separate dining room off the living area to balconies off the kitchen and master suite, which also contains the largest of three bathrooms.
  • Other essentials include two-car parking and monthly fees of $1,545.

The Agent's Take: "It's a great building on a cul-de-sac within a small cluster of condo buildings great for people in the neighbourhood who are downsizing and for someone who wants to be close to the 401 [highway]," Ms. Lokash says.

"There are not a lot of big units that turn over because people in that neighbourhood are coming from bigger houses and looking to downsize, but still have space to accommodate their furniture and belongings."

The buyer was even more pleased to learn this suite was modernized. "When the seller bought the unit, they completely renovated it from top to bottom, so it's like a brand new, beautiful suite," Ms. Lokash adds.
