The condo is within walking distance of transit, shopping and trails. The buyer was purchasing her first home.

The Agent's Take: The unit sold before mortgage changes went into effect on Monday, which makes it more difficult for some first-time buyers who couldn't meet the new interest-rate requirements. As a result, there was a surge of demand, Mr. Bahari says. "As well, the completion of the Evergreen Line in December is continuing to fuel the Tri-Cities real estate market, with many buyers coming from Vancouver and surrounding areas."
