Garda World Security Corp. says it has a deal to acquire G4S Cash Solutions (Canada) for an aggregate consideration of $110-million.

Further details were not disclosed about the transaction, which is expected to close by the end of the year, subject to regulatory approval.

Montreal-based Garda is the largest privately owned security services company in the world.

"Garda World is a Canadian company and we are thrilled at the prospect of welcoming the Canadian G4S Cash Solutions team," president and CEO Stephan Cretier said in a release.

"We look forward to working with G4S employees and having them as part of our performance-driven team."

Garda World, with some 45,000 employees provides security-related services to clients throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
