Morgan Stanley deepened its Canadian equity desk last week by hiring Blackmont Capital veteran Murray Abbott.
The global investment bank covers domestic institutions with a team that includes Toronto-based sales professionals, and Mr. Abbott will cover large, traditional Canadian money managers.
He was at Blackmont for two years - the firm is now owned by its employees and known as Stonecap Securities - and also worked at Research Capital.
