Turning point Both runs in a two-run fourth inning were unearned after Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Aaron Hill dropped the throw from shortstop Alex Gonzalez on a potential inning-ending double play.

Offensive star Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies went 3-for-6 with a pair of runs batted in, in his sixth game since coming off the 15-day disabled list.

Pitching The Blue Jays failed in forcing Jamie Moyer to elevate his pitches. Blue Jays starter Brett Cecil didn't get any help from his defence, but his ball didn't have its normal downhill movement, either.

Notes: The total attendance for the three-game series in Philadelphia was 130,073. … John McDonald of the Jays batted lead-off for the first time in his career and appeared in his third career game in left field. McDonald was hitless in five at bats. … The Blue Jays have lost their past four consecutive interleague series… John Buck's home run in Saturday's win over the Phillies was his 13th, the most by a Blue Jays catcher before the All-Star Game break.
