The Western Hockey League has suspended Derek Dorsett of the Medicine Hat Tigers for one game after the feisty winger munched on the hand of Kenndal McArdle of the Vancouver Giants.

The incident occurred on Wednesday during a shoving match near the end of the second period in the fourth game of the WHL final. Referees Derek Herman and Kyle Rehman assessed a five-minute match penalty for attempt to injure.

The Giants scored during the major early in the third period and went on to win 4-0 to deadlock the series. Dorsett will sit out tonight's game.

Dorsett, 20, has a reputation as an agitator. He was selected 189th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2006 National Hockey League entry draft.
