Former Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman could be in line for offensive coordinator's role with the JaguarsDON WRIGHT/The Associated Press

The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired offensive co-ordinator Jedd Fisch after two lacklustre seasons.

The Jaguars (3-13) ranked 32nd and 31st, respectively, in the NFL in total yards during Fisch's tenure.

The team made the announcement Tuesday about 20 minutes before coach Gus Bradley was to hold his season-ending news conference.

Jacksonville scored 24 offensive touchdowns this season, averaging 290 yards and 15.6 points a game.

Players complained privately in recent weeks about Fisch having little or no feel for play-calling and belittling rookie quarterback Blake Bortles in practice. With Fisch out, Bortles will have a second offensive co-ordinator in as many seasons.

Jacksonville could reach out to fired Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman, who has become close friends with Bradley.
