Adam Scott has settled on a replacement caddie for 2015. Following a five tournament audition process, the Aussie confirmed on Monday that Mike Kerr will be on the bag next year.

Kerr replaces Steve Williams, who has decided to retire after 36-years as a looper, most notably for Tiger Woods.

Scott said he was going to use his final five tournaments of 2014 to audition potential replacements, starting with Eddie Gardino at the Japan Open, where he finished tied for 38th. David Clark took over the reigns at the HSBC Champions, where they finished tied for 12th, and the Australian Masters, where they finished tied for second. Kerr was on the bag at the Australian Open and Australian PGA where they finished solo fifth and tied for second, respectively.

Scott had received more than 100 offers to caddie for him. Not surprising given that he is a top player - No. 3 in the world rankings - with a congenial personality and limited schedule.

Kerr, who grew up in South Africa and competed at the amateur level alongside PGA Tour pros such as Tim Clark and Rory Sabattini, is a long time friend of Scott's. He previously caddied for the likes of Ernie Els, Lee Westwood, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Thorbjorn Olesen.

Scott and Kerr are expected to make their PGA Tour debut at the Honda Classic, scheduled for the end of February.
