Taylor Pendrith

For the sixth time this year, there's a new No. 1 atop the men's amatuer rankings in Canada.

Taylor Pendrith replaces Adam Svensson, picking up 12 spots after finishing 17th in the stroke play portion of the North & South Amateur Championship. Unfortunately, Pendrith was one stroke outside of qualifying for match play. It's the third time this year Pendrith has held the No. 1 spot in Canada.

National Amateur Team player Corey Conners remained No. 3 in Canada after falling in the match play final of the North & South Amateur Championship after finishing tied for 11th in stroke play.

Also at the same tournament, Chris Hemmerich fell in the opening round of match play after finishing tied for third in stroke play. He picked up 63 spots in the world rankings and moved up to No. 5 in Canada.

Blair Hamilton made the biggest leap of the week, climbing 163 spots all the way up to No. 7 in Canada. The Burlington, Ont. golfer also finished tied for 11th in stroke play and was the 16th seed entering match play. He went on to defeat the No. 1 seed and the eighth seed before falling in the semi-final to eventual winner Michael Cromie.

Alistair Docherty of Saint John, N.B., makes an appearance in the top 10, moving up from No. 12 - a gain of nine spots.

A quiet week on the women's side with Jennifer Yang picking up 52 places to go from No. 14 to No. 9 in Canada.

On the professional side, Roger Sloan moved into the top 10 in Canada, picking up 461 spots in the world rankings after collecting his first career Web.com Tour win at the Nova Scotia Open. It was Sloan's first top-10 result of the year and his second career win as a pro, the first since the Canadian Tour's Western Championship. The victory also earned Sloan an exemption into the upcoming RBC Canadian Open later this month.

Fellow Web.com player Adam Hadwin moved up 24 spots and into No. 5 in Canada after finishing tied for seventh at the Nova Scotia Open. It was his fifth top-10 result of the year which includes a win in Chile earlier this year.
