Ryan Yip of CanadaThe Associated Press

Calgary's Ryan Yip made one of the biggest moves of the week, climbing 101 spots in the world rankings, after finishing in a tie for 16th at the Asian Tour's Selangor Masters – his second top 20 finish in as many weeks. The result saw Yip go from No. 20 in the Canadian rankings up to No. 14.

The end of the Web.com Tour season was good for both Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor. Hadwin climbed 14 places in the world rankings after finishing tied for seventh at the Tour Championship, his third consecutive result in the four Tour Finals events. The Abbotsford, B.C. golfer finished atop the money standings which not only guaranteed him full PGA Tour status for next year but also an invitation to the Players Championship.

Fellow British Columbian Taylor jumped 29 spots after he finished tied for 21st at the Tour Championship. Taylor secured his PGA Tour card for next year with a final round 63 which moved him securely into the top 50 after being on the bubble to start the final round.

On the women's side, top-ranked Brooke Henderson fell out of the top 200 in the world for the first time since June 15.

Alena Sharp climbed one spot to No. 236 in the world rankings after making a final day charge to finish in a tie for 30th at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic. It was her first weekend cut in the lats four tournaments and her best result since a tie for 14th back in May.

Maude-Aimee Leblanc moved up eight spots after finishing in a tie for fourth at the Symetra Tour finale. The Sherbrooke, Que. golfer was leading heading into the final round and just missed out on the playoff by one stroke. It was her fourth top-10 finish of the year and it left her 19th on the money list which gets her into the final stage of the LPGA's qualification school in December, a perk she had already attained as part of her previous LPGA Tour status.

On the amateur side, Tyler Saunders of Edmonton climbed 68 spots after finishing in a tie for 21st at the Golfweek Conference Challenge. It was the first college tournament of the 2014-15 season for the freshman at Texas State who sits at No. 7 in the Canadian rankings.

Eric Banks of Truro, N.S. moved up 43 spots to No. 8 in Canada after finishing tied for 13th at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, helping the Florida Gators to runner-up honours at the tournament.

On the women's side, some minor shuffling among the top ranked players saw SooBin Kim reclaim the No. 2 ranking from Augusta James, who finished tied for seventh at the Cougar Classic for her 10th top-10 career result.

Former N.C. State teammate Brittany Marchand moved up to No. 4 in the Canadian rankings ahead of ahead of Jennifer Ha.

Taylor Kim of Surrey, B.C. made the biggest move among the top 10 ranked players, climbing 22 spots after finishing in a tie for 14th at the Minnesota Invitational.

Elizabeth Tong moved to within striking distance of the top 10, climbing 21 spots to No. 11 in Canada, after finishing tied for 15th at the Cougar Classic. It was the first top-20 result of the year for the senior from Thornhill, Ont.

Anica Yoo moved up 47 spots after finishing second at the Oregon State Invitational. The senior from Port Coquitlam, B.C. fell just three strokes shy of winning her second career individual golf title while helping Oregon State to the team title.
