The New York Rangers have acquired defenceman Keith Yandle form the Arizona Coyotes, according to several media reports.

Reports state that Yandle, along with defenceman Chris Summers and a fourth-round pick in 2015, are heading to New York in exchange for top prospect Anthony Duclair, defenceman John Moore, a first-round draft pick in 2016 and a second-round pick in 2015.

The Coyotes are also reportedly retaining 50 per cent of Yandle's salary in the deal.

Yandle's 40 points (four goals, 36 assists) are tops on the struggling Coyotes this season. Antoine Vermette, who was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday, is second with 35.

In 557 games, all with the Coyotes, Yandle has 65 goals, 245 assists and 372 penalty minutes.

Duclair, 19, played 18 games with the Rangers this season. He scored a goal and added seven assists before being loaned to Canada for the world junior championship and ultimately being returned to the Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Duclair was a linemate of Coyotes prospect Max Domi on Canada's gold-winning world junior team.
