The Canadian men's national team said Thursday it will play an international friendly against Azerbaijan on June 3.
The game will take place in conjunction with a training camp in Austria as Canada continues its push to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
"We consider this match during the June window a very good test for our players," Canadian head coach Benito Floro said in a release. "This camp in Europe will be important because it will give us the opportunity to practice and create positive methods within our team."
Canada is set to play host to Mexico in a crucial World Cup qualifier in front of more than 40,000 spectators at B.C. Place Stadium in Vancouver on March 25 before another game in Mexico City four days later.
Canada then plays qualifiers away against Honduras and home to El Salvador in September.
