Brazil soccer calamity prompts Twitter hilarity Add to ...

The German soccer team’s 7-1 rout of World Cup host Brazil was the most discussed sports event in the history of Twitter, the social media service’s TwitterData account reports.

There were 35.6-million Tweets about the match, according to TwitterData. That compares to 24.9 million tweets during the 2014 Super Bowl.
