Is Brangelina no more?

A British tabloid reported on Sunday that Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are ending their relationship. According to The News of the World, Pitt and Jolie have already signed legal papers to split $330-million (U.S.) in assets, and have agreed to joint custody of their six children, Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. The report said that while they will share joint custody, the children will live full-time with Jolie.

The report spread like wildfire on the Internet yesterday, however, People.com reported that the rumour was false, citing sources close to the couple.

Celebrity blogger Ian Halperin, who predicted the couple would break up soon in his recently published book Brangelina, wrote on his blog yesterday that a close friend of Pitt's confirmed the actor has been planning the split for six months.

Pitt ended his marriage with actress Jennifer Aniston in 2005, after working with Jolie on the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
