Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in a scene from Sisters.

The marketing team at Universal Studios will have a pretty easy job selling Sisters. It's a comedy starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. What else do audiences need to know?

Except the last time the two paired up for a movie, things didn't go so well. Does anyone remember Baby Mama, from 2008? It's better if you don't.

But since then, Fey and Poehler have been the funniest comedy duo working today, even if they meet up only briefly on screen. Still, I'd pay money just to watch two hours of their Golden Globes hosting schtick.

With the first full trailer for Sisters  having debuted Tuesday night, we can now ask, is this going to be the funniest movie of the year?

Fey and Poehler play, you guessed it, sisters who return to their childhood home, where they throw the epic bender they never had in high school.

It's certainly not the most original premise from writer Paula Pell, who has plenty of SNL credits to her name, but it's more than enough for Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore to work with.

The trailer doesn't start with much promise, with Fey and Poehler making weird faces at each other and talking in screechy voices.

But then you get to the scene of them trying on dresses, and it is gold from there on out.

The ridiculous clothes, the dance routine, John Cena's safe word. It all has the potential to be the most ridiculous, fun time at the theatre this year.

Add in a supporting cast that includes Kate McKinnon, Maya Rudolph, Heather Matarazzo, Rachel Dratch and Bobby Moynihan and how could you not be excited to see this movie?

It doesn't hit theatres until December. Until then, we can hope it doesn't disappoint, and wonder just what story that fringe tells exactly.
