This is one pink drink you won't be poundingLAURA LEYSHON

Bright pink, slightly fizzy and served in a delicate champagne saucer, Bittercup looks every bit as delicate as the pinky finger that juts out when one pinches the stem of the glass between her fingers to drink. Yet it's aptly named.

But this is one pink drink you won't be pounding. It's complex. It makes you think before you swallow. And it's supposed to.

Ingredients

1 ounce Campari

1/2 ounce Fernet-Branca (Italian bitters)

1/2 ounce Bremner's unsweetened cranberry juice

3/4 ounce grapefruit juice

2 ounces prosecco

1/2 to 3/4 ounce simple syrup

Method

Mix all ingredients except prosecco in shaker and shake briskly. Fine strain into a champagne saucer. Top with prosecco.
