Fun name. It was inspired by the iconic 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Matthew Broderick, in the title role as a wise-guy student, earns the label "righteous dude" from a high-school secretary because of his popularity with other students. And so this white wine is supposed to display similarly populist appeal. Produced from Niagara fruit by an excellent winery farther east in Prince Edward County, it's light-bodied and sweeter than off-dry yet with sublime acid lift that leaves the palate with an impression of ideal balance.
