Big, at 15-per-cent alcohol, this impressive Barossa Valley red exhibits fine balance, oozing concentrated plum jam and dark chocolate infused with white pepper and licorice. Thick portions of red meat are in order, especially game or roast lamb. It's a good candidate for up to eight years or so in the cellar, too.
