An ideal accompaniment to Indian curries and spicy Thai dishes, this is white wine in the plump Alsatian style. Vaguely grey in colour – drawing some tint from gewürztaminer's pink skin – it's ripe and round, with syrupy lychee, apricot and pear flavours infused with spicy ginger. Good value.
