A dark, imperial-stout style, at 7-per-cent alcohol, this was aged in imported barrels that formerly held Kentucky bourbon. The result is sublime. Thick and syrupy, with dried dark fruits, licorice, dark chocolate and caramel flavours set against an admirably bitter, hoppy backbone. Available in Ontario.
