The late great Eddie Cochran could not have known about the Torrontes grape when he wrote about there being no cure for the summertime blues. Otherwise we would not have the song. This is fragrant, floral, happy wine, the perfect summer cure, dry yet with vibrant fruitiness. Catena, the esteemed producer here, does a great job at a fine price. It’s light and musky, with a pronounced flavour of white table grape. Perfect for freshwater fish or shellfish in a spicy marinade or light curries. Available in Ontario.
