Digital composite images show a comparison between a London scene during the Blitz of 1940-1941 and present day, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of the Blitz in London. The Nazi Germany raids during World War II killed 43,000 civilians and lasted for eight months. The main air offensive against British cities diminished after May 1941, with the change of direction of the German war machine towards Russia.
