Toronto police say they have found two boaters without vital signs in Lake Ontario and are trying to confirm their identities.

Search-and-rescue crews have been scouring the lake near the Scarborough Bluffs since Sunday evening after two boaters failed to return to shore.

Police say the two men went out around 8 a.m. Sunday and were meant to come back by noon.

Several Coast Guard vessels and a Hercules aircraft out of CFB Trenton were called in for the search.
