National Bank Financial is adding to its fixed income operation, hiring a well-known strategist from CIBC World Markets‎.

NBF has hired Warren Lovely, who worked at CIBC for the last 15 years and was the bank's head of fixed income‎ strategy and a senior economist.

At NBF, Mr. Lovely will become head of public market debt research and strategy. The hire extends a string of additions over the past few years as the investment bank has built out its fixed income business.

Mr. Lovely will start at NBF in April, giving him a few months to escape the Canadian winter, should he so choose.
