Shawn Kergen, left, and Leonard Wourms analyze oil cut samples at Cenovus's Christina Lake operation south of Fort McMurray, Alta.Kevin Van Paassen

Oil and gas analyst Kam Sandhar has a new position at a company he's rated "outperform" since 2009.

Mr. Sandhar is joining Alberta-based integrated oil company Cenovus Energy Inc. at an interesting time, as the company grapples with pricing pressures and the uncertainty surrounding the Keystone XL pipeline.

Mr. Sandhar comes from Calgary-based Peters & Co., where he joined as a research associate in 2004. He was promoted to principal in 2007.
