For some men, big has always been beautiful. First-time filmmaker Jeff Sterne shares his predilection for plus-sized ladies in the documentary Chubby Chaser.

Airing on TVO (Sept. 26, 9 p.m.), the film documents Sterne's journey of self-awareness that was inspired by a Facebook post by his niece describing herself as "fat and ugly."

Spurred to confront his own feelings of being different because of his lifelong love for larger women, Sterne attends a big-lady convention in Las Vegas and interviews experts on the female form, including Bodacious magazine publisher Zik Ukaeje –"the Hugh Hefner of fat chicks!"– and The Globe and Mail's Russell Smith.
