Alder Resources Ltd. announced today assay results for core hole D914 completed in the Rosita D Concession, in northeast Nicaragua. The drill hole intersected eight metres grading 29.54 grams per tonne gold from 240 metres. Alder lost 5 per cent yesterday, almost hitting year lows.

Nuvo Research Inc. said the United States Patent Office has issued a patent relating to compositions and methods of using diclofenac sodium topical solution PENNSAID 2 per cent. The patent expires on April 21, 2028.

BSM Technologies Inc. has been awarded a three-year contract to provide its Sentinel FM asset tracking solution to MTS Inc., Manitoba's full-service communications provider. BSM Technologies was last trading at 70 cents.

Tembo Gold Corp. reported results from the ongoing 2012 drill program on the Tembo Property in the Lake Victoria goldfield of Tanzania. The company said drill-hole TRC0423 at the Mgusu target was drilled as part of the phase 1 drilling program on the Tembo property and has returned excellent early drill results.

Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd., which jumped 24 per cent yesterday, responded to contact from the NYSE Market Exchange regarding recent increased trading activity in the company's stock. "The company confirms there are no material undisclosed corporate developments. The company does not otherwise comment on market activity."

COM DEV International Ltd., which rose 4 per cent in moving closer to a year-high $3.28 on Tuesday, has been awarded an Authority to Proceed contract to begin work on equipment for two commercial communications satellites, with options for two additional satellites. The contract could be worth more than $26-million if the customer exercises all options.

There will be a webcast/conference call on Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. (ET) to discuss Major Drilling Group International Inc.'s first-quarter results for 2013. The stock fell near 4 per cent and hit new year lows today ahead of the results.

Carfinco Financial Group Inc., which is trading near year highs, announced that the first two months of the third quarter is setting a record pace for loan originations. Loan originations in July were $13-million and August was a record setting month at $14.2-million. Total loan originations for the second quarter were a record $36.8-million. The first two months of the third quarter total $27.2-million.

Great Basin Gold Ltd., which rose more than 20 per cent in climbing away from near a year-low 18 cents yesterday, announced updated mineral resource and reserve estimates for the company's Hollister Gold Project on the Carlin Trend in Nevada as of June 30.

Acadian Mining Corporation, which is trading at year lows, announced that it has filed on SEDAR a technical report on an updated mineral resource estimate for the company's wholly-owned Fifteen Mile Stream property.
