I'm including this U.S.-focused article because it's an example of the blame-the-kids narrative in looking at the issue of young adults moving back home. The parents I speak to with kids moving home are much more focused on why their kids can't get traction in the job market than the cost of extra groceries.

Why millennials should have their kids early
One good reason is that the sooner your kids have grown up and left home, the sooner you can ramp up your retirement saving.

This will end badly
College students in China are actively trading stocks, often with money from their parents. Reminds me of what was going on in North America just before the tech bubble popped.
