Golden Reign Resources Ltd. (GRR-X) today announced additional results from its 2011/2012 definition drill program at the San Albino Mine area of its San Albino-Murra Gold Property, Nicaragua. The company has drilled additional near-surface, high-grade gold mineralization on the Corona de Oro gold belt.

Silver Range Resources Ltd. (SNG-X), which was just 3 cents above year lows yesterday, announced today exploration and drilling plans for its wholly owned Silver Range and Mint Projects located in Yukon Territory. The 2012 exploration programs will utilize at least four drills to complete a minimum of 16,000 metres of drilling at a total phase one cost of $10.2-million.

Alturas Minerals Corp. (ALT-X) said it has signed two letters of intent with Sociedad de Inversiones Gema Limitada, a Chilean mining exploration company, to acquire 100 per cent of its Marilin and Quispe gold projects.

Sprott Inc. (SII-T), which rose 6.5 per cent yesterday, announced the signing of a letter of intent to acquire Flatiron Capital Management Partners, an investment manager specializing in market-neutral strategies. Flatiron has approximately $275-million in assets under management.

Major Drilling Group International Inc. (MDI-T) said net earnings for the fourth quarter were at $30.7-million, an increase of 225 per cent over last year. Net earnings for fiscal 2012 increased 225 per cent to $89.7-million ($1.18 per share), an annual record.

Nordion Inc. (NDN-T) reported GAAP net income of $3.2-million (U.S.) in second-quarter fiscal 2012 compared with a net loss of $7.5-million in the second-quarter of fiscal 2011. It declared a quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share on the outstanding common shares of the company.
