Yellow:

Typically a difficult colour to pull off, the Queen proved that the sunny shade can be worn on the most royal of occasions. Note the neutral-hued shoes; anything darker would have been a no-no.

Foreheads:

Rather than perching on the side of the crown, headpieces worn by Victoria Beckham, Princess Beatrice and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson were positioned front and centre, directly above the face.

The bride's train was nine-feet long, compared with Diana¹s astounding 25. Even at that length, it required a lot of careful handling by sis Pippa.

David Beckham's top hat:

He carried it both entering and exiting the cathedral but never seemed to place it on his head. Either he wanted to show off his new haircut or he was worried about being chided in the locker room.
