Could this be the Royal Family's version of a time-out in the corner?

According to the BBC, Prince Harry has been deployed to Afghanistan for four months where he will be engaging in combat missions against the Taliban.

It's a world away from Las Vegas where he took part in some naked billiards. Oh yes, and how could we forget: he also play-raced Olympian Ryan Lochte in a Vegas pool.

Although the article makes no such connection, the announcement of his deployment in light of his recent debauchery seems too coincidental.

This is not Harry's first trip to the region. Between 2007 and 2008, he spent ten weeks in Afghanistan as a Forward Air Controller.

Since then, Captain Wales (his military name) has become a qualified Apache helicopter pilot, having trained for 18 months in the United States and United Kingdom.

According to the article, Harry will be living in a shipping container, which more recently, has become a voluntary style of abode for those with avant-garde, earth-friendly taste. Chances are, his living quarters will not look like this.

As the first member of the Royal Family to actively serve since Prince Andrew, who fought in the Falklands War, Prince Harry appeared to take pride in his role fighting the Taliban and vowed to return after he was withdrawn for security reasons.

Indeed, the prince seems equally governed by duty and devilishness. For all his mischief, at least no one can accuse him of being boring (ahem, Will).
