New Brunswick RCMP say a fire was deliberately set outside its detachment in Elsipogtog First Nation Friday evening.

Spokesman Sgt. Andre Pepin says the fire started on the outside of the building around 8 p.m. and was quickly contained by members of the community and firefighters.

Pepin says the damage to the building is minimal.

He says a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were arrested, but later released.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Elsipogtog First Nation was the site of violent clashes a week and a half ago between protesters of shale gas development and RCMP.
