The town of Huntsville has declared an emergency due to extreme weather in the central Ontario community.
Officials say more than 50 millimetres of rain has fallen in the past 24 hours, leading to the destruction of some of the town's infrastructure.
Many streets and roads in the community are impassable or have been destroyed by flooding and town officials say they believe there could be as much as $1-million in damage.

Residents who live in low lying areas in the community are being told to take precautions as the water levels continue to rise.
Meanwhile, everyone is being reminded to stay clear of open waters, creeks and rivers.
Mayor Claude Doughty took the step of formally declaring the emergency on Friday.
"All resources have been deployed and we continue to monitor the situation," said Kelly Pender, the town's chief administrative officer.
