The man who beheaded a fellow passenger aboard a Greyhound bus last summer will spend the next year in a high-security psychiatric ward, Manitoba's criminal review board decided today.

The board concurred with Stanley Yaren, the psychiatrist responsible for Vince Li, who testified at a hearing earlier this week that Mr. Li was responding to treatment but should remain under tight security.

Board chairman John Stefaniuk has said the full reasoning for the decision will not be released immediately.
