About 10,000 people attended a benefit concert in support of Lac-Megantic, Que., Tuesday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Tickets were $50 with the proceeds going to a fund to help the town recover from the devastating train derailment on July 6.

Lac-Megantic mayor Claudette Roy-Laroche received a long standing ovation when she was introduced to the crowd.
