Toronto police are investigating after a pedestrian was killed at a GO Train crossing in the city's east end.

Constable Wendy Drummond says the incident happened at the crossing (at Galloway and Kingston Roads) just after noon today.

Constable Drummond says the investigation is in the early stages and it's not yet clear if the man was struck by a train or some other vehicle.

GO Train service has been suspended between Eglinton and Rouge Hill stations while emergency and rail officials investigate.

GO Transit says shuttle buses are being used until service resumes this afternoon.
