A 16-year-old girl was nearly abducted in broad daylight while walking to school with a friend in North York Tuesday, police said.
The girl and another 16-year-old were walking near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue around 9:30 a.m. A man got out of a parked car, grabbed her by the arm and tried to pull her into the vehicle.
She pulled away from him, and both girls ran to school.

The alleged predator appears to be a stranger, police said.
Police describe the man as between 35 and 44 years old, standing roughly five-feet-seven to five-feet-eight, weighing 161 to 180 pounds, with a dark complexion, brown eyes and short, dark hair. He was dressed in dark-blue jogging pants, white shoes and black jacket. His car was white, with a crack on the right side of the windshield.
He had a distinctive two-inch scar below his left eye.
