Toronto police are looking for at least one suspect after a shooting near Liberty Village that left two men dead on Sunday morning.

"We have an idea, and we have some direction in this case," Constable Victor Kwong told reporters on Sunday afternoon.

Police responded to several gunshots at 7:26 a.m. at 36 Lisgar St., a condo building near Queen Street West and Dovercourt Road.

When officers arrived, they found two men with no vital signs. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

"We have identified a number of witnesses and are looking for anyone who might have any information of what happened [Sunday] morning on the 22 floor of this building," Constable Kwong said.

Beer cans littered the foyer of the building, and a few could also be seen on the sidewalk outside the front.

Danny Nguyen lives at 36 Lisgar St., and was directed by police to park on the street when he tried to drive into the parkade after he got off work at 11 a.m.

"They said it's a crime scene, two guys got shot in the underground," Mr. Nguyen said.

Yellow tape sectioned off the area of Lisgar Street directly surrounding the parkade's entrance.

Three or four police cars were parked near the parkade's entrance, and officers moved from there to across the street, where they entered 45 Lisgar St.

Mr. Nguyen said parties happen "frequently."
