Telus Corp. has sold office buildings in Edmonton and Burnaby, B.C., for a combined total of $192.25-million. The 21-storey Telus headquarters building in Burnaby was purchased by ICBC Properties Ltd., a subsidiary of Insurance Corp. of British Columbia, for $98.25-million. In Edmonton, the Telus Plaza, which comprises two office towers, was bought by a major Canadian pension fund for $94-million, Telus said. The company has arranged long-term leases with the new owners and will continue to occupy office space there as a tenant. The telecommunications company is in the process of selling two more office buildings in Calgary. Telus will also lease space in those buildings.
