Lions kicker Paul McCallum wins weekly CFL award

Veteran B.C. Lions kicker Paul McCallum has won special teams player of the week honours in the CFL for the fourth time this season.

The 41-year-old McCallum, who won the same award last week, kicked all five of his field goal attempts and collected 17 points in a 29-18 win over the Roughriders in Regina.

His two converts made it 657 straight, equalling the all-time CFL mark set by Winnipeg's Troy Westwood.

Argo running back Cory Boyd was named top offensive player while Montreal linebacker Chip Cox won defensive honours and Calgary running back Jon Cornish was named top Canadian.

Boyd ran 18 times for 148 yards and a touchdown in a 31-29 win over visiting Calgary. It was his ninth 100-yard rushing game as an Argo, sixth best in team history.

In the same game, Cornish had 12 carries for 128 yards, including a 57-yard run — his longest of the season.

Cox, a three-time winner this season, had seven tackles, a quarterback sack and an interception in the Als' 27-25 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
