New Hamilton Tiger-Cats head coach George Cortez might not get the opportunity to coach running back Marcus Thigpen.

Thigpen has signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins. In his second CFL season, the Indiana University product caught 28 passes for 382 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran the ball 23 times for 82 yards and a touchdown.

B.C. Lions defensive tackle Khalif Mitchell, a 2011 CFL all-star, has also agreed to a futures contract with Miami, according to reports.
