The Spokane Chiefs, who haven't played since defeating the Gatineau Olympiques in the round-robin part of the Memorial Cup tournament on Tuesday, took a breather to Toronto on Thursday.

They had lunch at Wayne Gretzky's restaurant, visited the Hockey Hall of Fame, watched batting practice of the Toronto Blue Jays before their game against the Anaheim Angels up close and personal and then observed the game from the Hard Rock Café inside the Rogers Centre.

The defensive-focused Chiefs beat their opponents in the Memorial Cup final, the Kitchener Rangers, 2-1 last Sunday. In that game, the Rangers scored an early shorthanded goal and then the Chiefs suffocated Kitchener with their checking game.
