Steve McCarthy and Ben Street scored short-handed goals three seconds apart in the third period to lift the Abbotsford Heat to a 3-0 win over the Toronto Marlies in American Hockey League action Thursday.

McCarthy scored a highlight-reel goal at 4:28, skating wide on a Marlies defender before taking the puck to the net and squeezing it through the pads of Ben Scrivens.

Then right off the draw Abbotsford (5-1-2) struck again as the puck was fired down the ice and past an unsuspecting Scrivens for Street's third goal of the year.
